Each week a variety of homework will be uploaded to Google Classroom on a Friday. We send home different phonics activities (linked to and supporting the teaching in school) for parents to do with their children. We also send a weekly homework grid, supporting the areas of learning in EYFS. Parents upload pictures/messages to their child’s portfolio on Dojo, or to Google Classroom to let us know how they get on and for feedback.
As the year progresses, homework will grow and change depending on own children’s needs.
We thank our parents for their support with homework; it really does make a huge difference. It is also great to develop that ‘work at home’ ethic early on.
Please check Dojo weekly for your homework activities and use the ‘Portfolio’ section of your child’s Dojo profile to upload any pictures, videos or comments for us to see. Please see the ‘Pick and Mix’ homework grid below for homework ideas to support the prime areas of learning. This was posted on Dojo for you too.
24th September 2021 – A set of our first four phonemes have been sent home along with ideas for games. There is also letter formation practise along with a link for Letterjoin.
The following clip will help with articulation of phonemes. It’s always a good idea to get your child to look in a mirror as they are practising so that they articulate correctly.
