Curriculum Overview

Curriculum Plans

Below are our long-term curriculum plans for Key Stage 1, lower Key Stage 2 and upper Key Stage 2. Parents can download each plan by clicking on the link.

  • The plans follow National Curriculum objectives for all subjects and are linked through topics.
  • These links ensure that learning is meaningful for all pupils.
  • At times, national curriculum objectives are taught discretely to ensure that there is full coverage and links do not become too tenuous.
  • We have highlighted how our vision, mission statement, school rules, Christian values and British Values are fully embedded into our curriculum and specifically into each term.
  • The topics reflect the individuality and interests of our school and pupils.
  • We have highlighted special weeks and special events, such as our annual Harvest Festival

Running throughout all our long-term plans we are teaching the children these key skills and values:

BE KNOWLEDGEABLE     BE ADVENTUROUS     BE AMBITIOUS     BE CREATIVE

BE COLLABORATIVE     BE REFLECTIVE         BE CURIOUS

If at times, we do not manage to teach all aspects of a termly long-term plan, we will ensure that the objectives are covered in a future term. In this way we ensure that there is full coverage of all national curriculum objectives over a 2 year rolling cycle.

We are currently reviewing our curriculum.

If you require further information about the curriculum please see our Class DOJO pages or contact the class teacher.
