JAM Club (Jesus and Me)

On a Tuesday lunch time JAM club will meet discuss different ways we can show our Christian Values.

Week 1. PLANNING MEETING.

Our first meeting was really successful! The children were able to come up with imaginative and creative ways to help others and show our values.

Week 2. LOVE.

The children made origami hearts with a kind messages on the inside. During lunch we went around school and posted the hearts into people’s lockers, left them on classroom desks and pushed them under doors. This small act of kindness and love was felt across school and we had lots of fun making the hearts!

Week 3. GENEROSITY.

The children decided they wanted to bake biscuits and share them with others.

Week 4. FRIENDSHIP.

We wrote a recipe for friendship thinking carefully about the ingredients that make a good friend. We also made friendship bracelets to give to our friends.

Week 5. COURAGE.

This week we thought carefully about how we could show, and encourage bravery.  We know that this doesn’t always mean we have to do something dangerous and take risks, but it can be standing up for what we know is right or quietly staying strong when dealing with something that others may not always know about.

We decided to go into the forest school and challenged ourselves to be brave when balancing, swinging and jumping. We talked about how it felt when we had shown courage.

WEEK 6. SERVICE.

During JAM club, we thought about service. We used put our time to good use and thought about how we could help to keep God’s wonderful world beautiful. We spent our session, tidying up the outdoor area, litter picking and planting bulbs.
