||Rector St Michael and all Angel Hoole since 2018
I have been involved in schools all my professional life first as a teacher of Classics and RE. I was then Headmistress of Durham High School for 13 years – a Church of England school with 600 girls aged 3 -18. I have been a governor of 4 other schools including 2 Church of England Primaries in my previous parish. It has been a delight to get to know the children, staff and parents of Hoole St Michael’s as we have developed our partnership between school and church with new initiatives like our monthly Family Church.
||Children and Young People’s Minister, St Michael’s Church
Foundation Governor, Chair of Ethos committee, RE Governor.
I have been involved in church-based schools work for 12 years and have been a governor in 3 other primary schools. I am regularly in school leading Collective Worship, Worship Group and providing RE support in each class, so know the children and staff well. I also have good relationships with many families through the church, especially our regular Family Church and Sunday School. I think it is vital that the church and the school work together for the community and my involvement in school helps this to happen. I love being in school each week and spending time with the children and staff.
