There are many special events throughout the year to which you are invited so that you can celebrate your child’s achievements and enjoy taking part in the life of the school. Such events are:
Church services
Parents are invited to all our church services at St Michael and all Angels, throughout the year. For example, our special services include
- Harvest Festival
- Remembrance Day
- Advent
- Carol service
- Ash Wednesday
- Easter
- Year 6 leavers
Assemblies
Parents are invited to an assembly every Friday.
- Friday celebration assembly (many awards are given and the children share achievements from out of school) 2.45pm start
Once a month, on Tuesdays our KS2 children worship in church. Parents are invited to join us. Please see our weekly newsletter for these dates. Parents come to school to walk to church with their children so they can worship alongside them.
School events
Parents and grandparents are invited to a number of special events throughout the year, for example:
- Infant Nativity
- Book Week (parents are encouraged to come in and read with the children)
- Easter presentation
- St George’s Day celebration (a special event for grandparents especially)
- Sports Day
- Sporting fixtures – home and away
- Year 6 leavers’ production
- Singing group concerts (incuding the children singing in school cluster events at Tarleton academy)
- Groundforce days (on Saturday mornings)
- Special weeks (such as science week – parents are encouraged to become involved)
- Stay and Learn
